Dreamcatcher is a documentary about Brenda Myers-Powell, a former teenage prostitute with a drug habit, who decided to change her life after a violent encounter with a client had landed her in the hospital. Brenda returned to the Chicago streets where she was a prostitute and searched out the most vulnerable women, giving them a reason to break the cycle of sexual violence and exploitation. She also reached into the community and schools to keep young girls from doing what she had done. While society may overlook these women, thankfully, Brenda does not; she proves that one person can make a difference in the lives of many.
